Past students news

We are so proud of all our students past and present. Many past students have continued their exploration into the world of drama and theatre .

We miss them when they leave but they always leave something special with us. The majority of our students stay for over five years. Our oldest students have been with us for seven years and one of them Ileana Goodman said this about her Dramaworks experience … “I was a student there for 7 years and not once was I bored or left out. It’s such a homely atmosphere where people are warm and inviting. If you want somewhere where you can take the arts seriously but are still able to be yourself and be silly with your friends and teachers this is the place for you. Dramaworks. A beacon of love and laughter, and a bunch of acting.”

Ex workshop leaders – all previous Dramaworks students!

We highly value the ex students who become workshop leaders to assist in warm ups and organising sessions.

Patrick Riley

Patrick graduated with a first class degree in acting and performed with the National Youth Theatre repertory company and in the opening ceremony of the Olympics but he will forever be remembered at Dramaworks for his legendary bank game!

Georgina Briggs

Georgina graduated with a degree in European Drama from Rose Bruford College and is an actress, singer and director in Christchurch, New Zealand but her performance of little frog at Dramaworks was unforgettable!

Nick Henman

Nick was a long time workshop leader and he is currently studying at York University for a degree in Acting, Writing and Directing. He has appeared in many local productions but he will always have a place in Dramaworks for his awesome diction game!
